MUST-TRY Living Room Ideas

The living room is where most of the family spends their time. Your kids are going to be lounging on the couch in front of the TV while you and your partner engage in some casual chit-chat regarding the day in the living room. Not to mention the fact that most of your guests are going to be ushered into the living room the minute they step into the house.

Do you have a bright and sunny family that is always running and jumping around the house? Then having a drab and boring living room is no good! Brighten up your living room by incorporating some fresh new colours such as bright yellow or orange.

You are not really big on the idea of going for bright colours or funky designs in your living room. That’s perfectly alright! You can have a minimalistic and modern living room and still incorporate a bit of your personality into it. How do you ask? Why, by including some statement decor, of course! Are you a fan of Siberian huskies but are not allowed to keep one in your house? Get a piece of interior decor that looks like a husky, and place it right in the middle of your living room to make a statement!

The Victorians were great at making their homes look elegant and sophisticated. This is why emulating the Victorian look would be an excellent way for you to spruce up your old living room. You can think about switching out your old couch for a new white vintage one to bring in a Victorian aesthetic.

Who said that mirrors need to be confined only to the dressing room or the bedroom? Break a few rules here and there and put in a mirror in your living room. Not only do mirrors serve to enhance the aesthetic of the entire living room, but it is also great for increasing the perception of space! This is why if you feel that you have an extremely cramped living room, installing a couple of mirrors might be the solution you need!

Well, here is a great compromise. You can try and create a fusion of both the vintage and modern by incorporating various elements from the past, such as wooden chairs and floors, with several elements from the future, such as glass windows and doors. This is also a great way to please several generations of the family at the same time!
